Participation at the workshop βEmotions and Society in Italyβ, organised by the International Sociological Association (ISA)
On May 6, 2025, the workshop βππ¦π¨ππ’π¨π§π¬ ππ§π ππ¨ππ’πππ² π’π§ ππππ₯π²β was held at the UniversitΓ degli Studi di Firenze, organised by the International Sociological Association (ISA) Working Group on Sociology of Emotions and promoted by Prof. Adrian Scribano (University of Buenos Aires).
Our partner Roberto Tesei, postdoctoral researcher at the UniversitΓ di Trento, presented a talk titled Β«π

His contribution explored how the 1986 nuclear accident triggered collective emotional responses β fear, anger, uncertainty β that reshaped public trust in science and institutions, influencing political decisions and challenging dominant ideas of progress.
Understanding these patterns is crucial for rebuilding democratic trust and fostering collective action in the face of ecological breakdown.
